It couldn’t be simpler, just select L14 and L17 in the settings…
This is exactly what I said in my post!
The reason I mentioned it is it’s simplicity, easy to use on either mobile or desktop.
Even if out of date, you see something to nominate you can check what area the cell covers and see in game whether anything is already there.
I would love Niantic / Scopely to have a map that includes all active waypoints and S2 cells that can be used on desktop but until then…
Ingress Map: More complicated to set up, has all waypoints including PoGo, Ingress and “none active”?. Not sure what will happen after the split. Data is live.
Forbidden Link: Simple. Shows S2 cells but usually out of date.
Personally, I don’t care about the cells when nominating. First, I make sure the POI isn’t already a Wayspot, and if it isn’t, I’ll submit it.
Concerning oneself with S2 cells could lead to one submitting places that aren’t eligible, and not every cell has eligible places. Being more concerned about whether a POI may or may not be eligible is more important than whether it’ll show up in a game.
I also wouldn’t use the cells as the be all but I have looked for legitimate nominations in specific area knowing that it will give an extra Gym if accepted.
As a PoGo only player I am going to prioritise a nomination that will give me something in game before others but will nominate the others at a later date if its on a different walk…
Just addressing this since i dont think i saw it addressed anywhere… ambassadors dont have this ability, Niantic staff would have to be the ones that look into that.
