Stop approved in March still not published in game

Hello, I’m not sure why this stop that was approved in March is still not showing in pokemon go. All the other ones I nominated were approved and published immediately but this one has still not appeared in the game and it’s been 4 months now.

Although the prompt tells you that you are submitting a Pokestop, you are actually submitting a Wayspot. In order to go live in Pokemon Go, a Wayspot has to be alone in an L17 S2 cell. I will link a good article about that:

I want to be clear that pinning away from the thing you are nominating so that it is alone in the cell is abuse, but you can certainly use this knowledge to help you decide where to look. If you want to leave the location here, someone can check to see if this is the case for this nomination.

It’s in the same Level 17 S2 Cell as “Hayes Town Information Point”. As explained by what @cyndiepooh posted, each Level 17 S2 Cell can only contain one Pokéstop or one Gym, so as the info point is already in the game, it’s blocking your submission from being used in Pokémon Go. It is in Ingress though (which has a different proximity rule), so you’ve helped out your local Ingress Agents with a cool new Portal at least

Thank you both for replying, I didn’t know about the limitations within an area. Sometimes i see so many stops in one area. This rule probably came in later on in the game?

btw it’s a shame as this stop is quite unique compared to the other ones around there!

The rules have always been there. People used to be able to abuse location edits to put more stops in a cell, but that was fixed. And sponsored stops have never had to follow the cell rules. But sometimes what looks like stops that are too close is just stops that are all in the adjacent cell corners. There is no distance rule for pogo like there is in Ingress.

That town centre pokestop I requested as well, the light mural was created when they refurbished the underpass.

It does look really cool.
If the council ever remove the information point the light mural will pop up. :sunglasses:
