Stops and Gyms

Hi
Sorry it has not worked out for you.
It sounds as though it has become to stressful and it should be fun. So taking a break for now might be best. Sometimes new community initiatives happen and the opportunity for a way spot turns up.

Let’s hope that something turns up.

Did the allotment not work out?

I am just giving up, I tried my best, I got 2 pokestops here setting up 2 waystops. I feel I best not push my luck… but I left the mark with the cycle, hoping someone can find an ideal spot for an waystop with in the cycle, and hoping that might be an gym…

but as I said I am gonna stop trying.

You don’t have to give up.

We are all here to help you, but if you ignore our advice and try to do what you think is best than unfortunately we can’t help any further.

Please read through the advice given to you again and submit another wayspot just in a different cell.

We wish you all the best

I’m not good at this,
and as I said this Pink Cycle is the range I trying to get an other waystop in.
and the 3 Red Dots are the so far Wayspots already in.
also as I said my gramma not good, so that not help.

We need to confirm whether you actually have 3 pokestops or just 3 wayspots as you have stated above.

You can have as many “wayspots” in each L17 Cell but only one should be used in Pokemon Go as either a Pokestop or Gym.

Any “extra” wayspots may be used as a “Powerspot” (Dynamax / Gigantamax).

The only method we have is…

  • Go to the location (you have to be “on site”, it can not be done remotely).
  • Start as if you are going to nominate a “new pokestop” but stop at the map.
  • Make sure the toggle is on (bottom left of the map).
  • You should see the “wayspots” on the map.
  • The blue icons are Pokestops / Gyms.
  • The orange ! (exclamation marks) are what are stated as “Wayspot used in other Niantic games”. This is mis-leading as they can also be used as “powerspots”.
  • You can click the icons for more details.

If you are able to take a screen grab of the Map and upload it here we can give you more advise.

(I can not create a suitable example as I do not have any Pokestops / Gyms close to home, there is an example shown at New Pokestop not showing up - #50 by cyndiepooh ). If anybody could upload an example it might be easier to understand…

the image I shown is what is shown where I am right now, the center of the Cycle is the first waystop I got. the second one is in the cell below to the left.
and the one far down at the buttom that pop up there on the same date the kids playground one pop up.
I don’t know but going by the Cells and how big the Cycle in pokemon go goes out to, That one is inside the cell where the park is. so there 2 waystops in one cell. some how.
I am looking at my pokemon go right now as I type all this to.

I have taken this example from a post by @cyndiepooh (hope you don’t mind, will remove if you do).

We need to see this map but for your location.

I believe what we will see is…

  • 2 of the blue “photo spin” logos which are Pokestops / Gyms.
  • 1 of the orange ! . These maybe used as Powerspots (Dynamax) or in other games but are NOT Pokestops / Gyms.

if i shared it here, you can too. ty though.

We understand that you want to get more wayspots in that pink circle, but that won’t help since these cells are already occupied.

Only 1 pokestop in a LV17S2 cell.

You have to have a certain amount of pokestops in a level 14S2 cell for gyms to appear, not wayspots

0-1 → 0 gym

2-5 pokestops → 1 gym

6-19 → 2 gyms

20 or more → 3 gymz
