It varies greatly depending on how many reviewers and submitters are in your area. A nomination won’t go into review for the first 24 hours after you submit it, so that you have time to edit it. After that, it could be rejected immediately when the ML (machine learning) “automated process” is working, or it could take hours to months to decide.
If you are not getting a decision as quickly as you would like, you can review yourself to earn an upgrade. Applying an upgrade will push your nomination to a wider review pool in community voting. Reviewing can also help get other area nominations decided so that yours is more likely to be seen by other reviewers.
