Thanks Alice, and you were immensely helpful by posting locations with reviews available - it helped so much!!
This is really ridiculous.
- The wayfarer site was unusable during the days of the challenge;
- Users left to their own devices without information about the problems and how to solve them;
- Early closure of the challenge without communication;
- Lowering of the levels posthumously just to try to corrupt the users (who in any case had a lot of problems being able to review the proposals and less time than expected);
- As a final insult today, after the early closure of the challenge, I reviewed about fifty proposals in a row without interruptions of any kind (so how was it possible that every minute yesterday, I was told that the reviews were finished? I donât know. I didnât move in position, so those same reviews were in the queue, but they werenât proposed to me.)
The whole final management is ridiculous.
You ask users to help you do things that would normally be your job, but then you treat us ridiculously, personally Iâm not happy to have wasted my time seeing the screen say âErrorâ; âProposals closedâ or the beautiful black screen waiting for tens of minutes.
Alice is currently on a plane to a remote island near Jakarta⊠Looks away carefully
Thatâs true
Well u do most job updating where to look for review.
Brian Rose, the game director for Ingress seemed to imply it was the last one for Ingress in his tweet.
Oh, no, my comment already took that into account.
I am truly disappointed in this one. Made 120 reviews in 2 days and from 3rd day onwards All I see is a balloon jumping. I did tried my best to get to 158 and thought maybe this lag will go away today and I was prepared to complete 500 individual milestone. It ended fast and all my efforts and plans are gone to waste.
Come to Jakartađ
- The Wayfarer site wasnât unusable and worked as intended, bar a few technical issues that were not foreseen.
- Users had access to this forum, and there was a link on the Wayfarer Forum listed on th Wayfarer site, so there isnât really any reason for users not to be aware.
- That isnât strictly true. There was some communication, but it was done close to the early end date. Whilst I get itâs not fair, but it was communicated.
- Corrupt? Ok, I am not going to answer that.
- At the end of the challenge, the number of people reviewing would have gone down significantly, so some review may have been more accessible than before. But I really donât know for sure as to why they were more available other than this.
- You were under no obligation to do the challenge. Itâs on opt-in and not an opt-out. There were resources available to help you with reviewing, which you only used after the event and not during. Niantic may not be completely to blame here.
After the number of stuff I reviewed in Jakarta over the past couple of days, I am hoping Niantic will book us on flights for a trip there!!
You should have extended it ffs after 130 reviews there are no more reviews and all bouncy niantic balloon. It took me 2 days to reach from 130 to 158 and the event ended earlier than expected to crush out efforts into nothing.
I am going to say, it ainât over until itâs over. I am going to live in hope that there may be some mini-challenges that may happen between now and the cut off point.
Approved submission for the last week. Thanks for whoever participate in Jakarta
The oldest is in queue since jan
Some got rejected and i will resubmit. But i take what i can get for now
I wonât pretend to remember all the stuff I reviewed, I mainly focused on edits rather than submissions (bar a few) as I didnât know enough about Jakarta to confidently review new submissions. I am really glad that the queue in your area has been reduced.
Thats absolutely superb!!
I often skipped full nominations and focussed on edits too, usually title and description edits.
Depends what the nomination was though, since knowledge language and culture arenât always needed ie I know a playground, religious building or sculpture is going to be a decent nomination anywhere in the world
Itâs mainly the restaurants / cafes that I skipped. Partly because there was lack of convincing evidence that they were hotspots to socialise.
Makes sense, yeah. If I wasnt sure, I just skipped.
This whole thing was about reducing the queues, so if I can churn through a lot of stuff thatâs easy, it frees up more local players to do the rest right?
I actually really like title and edit reviews in general. I like looking at text and deciding whatâs best. Theyâre fast but I also prefer reading information like this so it suits me, and I have a feeling that a lot of people might find this boring
Frankly the edit contribute a big portion of the backlog. Maybe even bigger than nomination. Sometimes the edit is just capitalize few letter or adding description from empty one.
