Agree. Many who had plans for the holiday weekend got 500 reviews done on the first day. I waited, as I didn’t fully have my plans in place, and got to 500 yesterday.

What about all the things we still have not reviewed? While they simply be lost or do they only show up in Niantic games from now on? I’ve been working on getting some older ones out but cutting the challenge short makes that impossible to finish…
changing to some less popular countries helped me a lot. My brother live in Denmark so i changed to his location and most of my 500 was from there, Poland was empty.

This is something we could consider, expanding the radius of your locations. It gets very complicated in areas with close neighbors with different languages though…
please don’t do a leaderboard for this event. those of us who were trying to go beyond the individual tiers to help get to the community tier do not need the hate from those who couldn’t find anything to review.

Right. But what would be the alternative? A bunch of stuff in limbo because no one else to review them? That also isn’t good

And no there is no reason to stop after 500 (400 now), there is still so big backlog, maybe not in your cell but worldwide.
They gave many tips where to move you bonus location to. So no problem with bouncing ship at all. Just switch locations (you were able to do it every 10 minutes)

I would have started early if I could have.
Unfortunately between not getting much advance notice & the challenge overlapping with multiple other time sensitive things, it just wasn’t possible.
Perhaps in the future we could get a challenge that’s split into multiple different times to allow for the queue to fill back up?

Hi @wamdueproject, your home and bonus location should continue to be editable for 48 hours after the original challenge time as originally stated in the comms. If you’re not experiencing this please open a bug ticket and our team will fix that for you.

I was in the countryside enjoying my holiday when the event kicked off. The weather was okay-ish for what you’d expect in the UK. However, I had loads of time to review only to be presented by the Niantic bouncing logo animation. I had brought two screens with me luckily so I put the Wayfarer tab onto my second screen and waited… yet despite all that I only got 265.
In short, I sat inside a whole day with my travel setup to volunteer my time with reviews, yet the majority of the time spent was on the Niantic Logo loading animation. This is time that myself and plenty of people within the Wayfarer community won’t get back. While we appreciate the adjustment to the rewards, the ending early is demoralising and what’s worse, it’s even more demoralising to those who could not even get the rewards simply because of the loading animation even with the adjustment.
There is still stuff in review and I know this as I still have nominations that I’ve put forward for review for the community. I feel like my morale has just hit an all time low because of the issues the community has faced.
Edit: I forgot to mention, you can even see reviews that needed to be done too within your area due to the featured waystops when you enter the Wayfarer website.

That’s not even a fair compensation. Just make it whoever did anything at this point or not give a tick to OPR Live. The badge wasn’t even for these types of “challenges” anyways.

Ah sorry, you’re right. I should clarify it’s never been part of a strictly reviewing challenge but yes, the previous global challenge was a an Edits nomination challenge and the limits for those were reset.

This was so frustrating. I like to do a good review but I just watched that balloon bob endlessly. I really wanted to get that badge tick but only managed to get 140 reviews to load. It won’t even be enough to get me to the silver level of the recon medal. The kinetic cap will be nice but honestly, this was a huge disappointment.
