I’m checking my email daily and am excited for the 3 remote passes since I reviewed the minimum 50. Four more days until all the rewards are sent out, so I’m waiting patiently. This is my first event since I only recently hit level 37.

I’m frustrated and disappointed. I spent hours trying to reach to 500 but due to the lag time mid-challenge I couldn’t get passed 340, and I had thought maybe I have time the last 24 hours, maybe it will finally let submit 500, I found out the challenge ended.
Please put a cap /cool down for those who reviewed 500 within that time period. I know it exists, and please adjust the earnings for those with 300+ reviews. First no trinket then this? Please give us a break. Niantic is being greedy with all the time we donated for free to be taken away.

The challenge was to get as many nominations resolved as possible with the rewards as a thank you. The challenge wasn’t get the rewards and then focus on the nominations. In all the challenges I have done, I have not heard Niantic introduce any rate limiting on reviewers once they hit a certain number.

Hi I have not received the rewards despite spending hours reviewing things diligently and reached 50 plus reviews. Can someone please help?
The rewards will be distributed up until the 30th April. If you don’t receive them by the end of the month, it could be a case of Niantic looking into it. If you are an Apple User and have selected the option to hide your email address, you may need to check the masked email address to see if it has arrived there.

Crazy idea but is it possible to remove the location radius completely & just have all available submissions globally available to participants during events like these.
I like this idea, but not sure if its something that is workable. If Niantic (soon to be Scopely) had an additional option for Wayfarer Challenge that only applied for Global Challenges where people can get reviews from anywhere around the world, or give people the choice of reviewing in locations of their choice, I could buy into this idea.
Sometimes the reviews were pretty slow load for me but I was still able to do the initial 500 reviews

When do we get the rewards? Still haven’t had mine? Also, it’s crappy to change the end time without warning, and people should be compensated when rewards come out. I was going to finish and get the top rank and now i didn’t hit it because the date was changed. Billion dollar company

I just want to share my experience with this challenge. While I fully understand the problems lots of people had with it and that I could’ve been one of them, I got lucky and it was a fully success for me. May sound like boasting maybe it is a bit, but just wanted to add something positive to counter the negativity.
My free time started at the second day of the challenge so I decided to get it over with before weekend arrived and spent some hours for reviewing. I managed to do 501 reviews. I had no waiting time or slowed down loading (as far as I understand… I mean it’s a bit slow-ish in general anyways, but it wasn’t worse for me during the challenge). Sure, half a dozen times I had to reload because of some weird error message or a freeze, but that’s normal anyways.
Luckily I even didn’t get a soft ban, only some captchas now and then. And that even tho at one point I decided to ignore the hidden waiting time and just do it at my speed with like 1-3 seconds for most reviews (edits). Because, well, if you have some hundred still to do and only have to decide between no description and seemingly good description (I don’t need to check facts like names and dates) or between the same texts but with or without hyphen or whatever, or a missing letter is added, etc. etc. - you don’t need more time to do it correctly. That hidden waiting time is just stupid anyways, Niantic, pls consider removing it, it’s mostly useless and frustrating.
Anyways, it seems I completed the challenge early enough when there were still enough reviews left to do. The idea of not enough reviews for everyone who wants to partake didn’t even cross my mind, when I saw the numbers of completed reviews going up I thought Niantic had calculated a number more or less easily obtainable by us and would have never thought there aren’t enough reviews to do for everyone to begin with.
So I fully was okay with the requirements for the bonus tiers going down, even tho I already had put in more work than now necessary. I feel bad for everyone who didn’t stand a chance because of not enough reviews to do or shortened challenge time (especially regarding the ingress rewards, sounds like it had a very rare something). I got lucky, this time. For me it was successful. Waiting for the rewards now.
For everyone else I just hope Niantic will calculate the tiers and overall to dos better next time.
But well, you can’t satisfy everyone and sometimes you need a bit luck as well, or need to invest sooner. I know it’s not helping, especially if you have only some clear rules to follow to partake and something goes wrong. I just hope next one will work out better for everyone.
