Hi
Inspired by our lovely @26thDoctor, who have the luck to reach wonderful areas to take his ordinary pictures , I wanted to ask if you would show me (and the rest of the world ) your best wayspot photo ever ever ever.
Accepted or not, only rule is: taken by yourselve, no 3. party.
This is not the greatest photography but it is a cool gift to send as an image. I had to take it from the middle of the road along the filthy, underbelly of an Edinburgh bridge where the junk1es hang out and the tourist bus doesn’t go
This one is a particular favorite because this sculpture was created by Altanta’s most famous architect, John Portman. The previous image was so bad, it hurt my heart to see his work be presented this way.
Image Addition. A pic of Madison Square Garden from the rooftop of a nearby hotel, while the Rangers were in the playoffs. I’m a Bruins fan, but I still like this photo.
I get very trigger happy and take gazillion pictures of everything when i walk. My favourite is this one, even though it’s just a playground. Looks spooky.
I love the playground picture. Its relatively easy to have a cool picture when the object is exceptional but its something special when its an ordinary object that is photographed to look great.
I try to always make it a point to take the best pictures I possibly can, so it’s hard to narrow it down to just a couple. These are some of my favorites, most of them in Bismarck, North Dakota.
A footbridge along a walking path next to a golf course, taken in November 2023. The little bit of water under the bridge was already frozen over.
An amphitheater built into the ground next to the state museum on the Capitol Grounds. The sun was setting and the grass was still green, taken last fall (there’s a sign naming the amphitheater on that brick wall, but the scenery looked better than a boring sign plaque).
A building downtown that was built in 1883. It almost looks fake with how flat it looks, but just happened to be taken at the perfect angle against the blue sky.
This park sign needed a new photo. The previous one was taken with such a bad sun glare and the one before that was blurry and taken at night. I waited for the perfect moment to update it.
Not in North Dakota, but rather Minnesota. This is technically the first bridge that the Mississippi River flows under, as it is just downstream from where the river originates in Itasca State Park. Beautiful summer day and one day I want to go back and spin my stop so I can save a postcard from it.
Our historic rail bridge that was completed in 1882, but is soon to be demolished by BNSF. I took it on January 1, 2021. When the bridge is taken down, I’m hoping they put some sort of plaque in the area where I submitted the Wayspot so I can just update the picture.
One of my very first submissions and the first gym I ever made, a ball diamond in the park in my old neighborhood. The sky was colorful that evening. It was around the time that Pokemon Go players were finally allowed to submit Wayspots.
