I am not understanding the reason of rejection for this recently appealed waypoint.
In the rejection it states that the waypoint is a regular signpost which is just factually false. The waypoint shows a stone compass and not a sign post. The Compass also is not regular or mass produced, it is a unique artpiece which shows people where North is. Ofcourse the artpiece is minimalistic, but art is subjective and shouldn’t disqualify a waypoint to get accepted. Please reconsider this contribution. Me and many other local Trainers would be very grateful.
I checked the criteria several times and I cant find a reason for rejection. If I am missing something here please let me know, so I can keep that in my mind for the future. Thanks in Advance!

Screenshots of the Rejection Email and Waypoint:
Unfortunately, once you have appealed a nomination via Contribution Management and a decision has been made, it cannot be appealed here. This for is only to appeal Wayspot removal requests that have been denied, or to ask for a valid Wayspot that was removed to be restored.
However, we can certainly take a look at how this submission can be improved upon. Can you provide the description, supporting info and photo that you included?
Niantic will reconsider an appeal on occasion, but there must be strong evidence that the nomination should have been accepted, not just that the appeal decision was wrong. I am still not clear what I am seeing in that main photo. Would you share the entire nomination? It looks intriguing.
The description was in german and translated it states: “Traditional direction indicater which faces north.” The word “Wegweiser” probably got mistranslated to signpost which maybe caused the problem.
Additional information was: “Here the trainers can view a traditional beautiful stone compass”
The picture for the sourroundings
show normal sidewalk:
From the map, it looks as though the stone is in someone’s front yard. The single-family private residential property exclusion will probably apply. It doesn’t seem that this would be eligible in any case.
As of my knowledge I dont think it is directly on private property. And if it was it is fully accesible from the sidewalk without trespassing in any way. Just as many other Waypoints like Wallmurals and so on. Therefore I really hope the contribution will be reconsidered.
If not I guess at least I would have a more logical reason for the rejection now, but it is still pretty sad to miss out on another Waypoint in the local area.
While this could be PRP, which was my 1st thought looking at the supporting photo, I do see a honey farm near this location at 48.4131497445478, 7.770247358814463, called " honigseb." I think this could be the boundary for the farm, which may include the compass rock. There’s no Street View, so can’t be for sure here.
The farm does have a shop, and is open to the public. So, if it is a part of the entrance to the farm and not the private property at Blumenstraße 10, it would be eligible. If this is the case, you will need to include the name of the farm in either the title or description, or both, as well as take a supporting photo showing it’s on the grounds of the farm, not just a view of the sidewalk. The supporting info should also state that it’s on the farm grounds and that the farm is open to the public.
To be clear, “fully accesible from the sidewalk without trespassing in any way” is not sufficient, it really isn’t allowed be single-family private residential property.
