This Wayspot doesn’t meet our criteria for removal. This is why you still see it on the gameboard.

Then why did I receive an email stating that it was accepted?
So another Niantic staff member decided it was accepted, and now it’s not?
And you’re unable to explain why it’s not eligible for removal?

This needs to be directed at @NianticAaron, as this has the same wayspot title and it’s a screenshot of the same “report accepted” email indicating that the wayspot will be removed.

Yes, it’s the same. The email is legitimate, but this guy still says it doesn’t meet our criteria for removal.

If they had researched what a funeral chapel represents in the Philippines, they would understand that it is a sensitive location.

And when I try to find out why this does not meet the criteria for removal… no answer. Hahaha.

It may be hard to get an explanation for why something doesn’t meet removal criteria, but the sequence of removal rejected, Niantic confirm it won’t be removed, Niantic tell you it will be removed, Niantic say it won’t be removed is a little bit confusing and an explanation of that should be possible.

Thanks for confirming it is the same. As a wayfinder this is a confusing sequence of events that you have had.
Frustrating though it clearly is, I dont think there will be any expansion on the point that having reviewed it it does not meet the requirements for it to be removed.

Sorry about the confusion. It was an error that lead to this email which was immediately rectified.

I believe it was already suggested to you to contact the business to let them know the game location is there. Niantic will honor a request from the property owner to remove it. I can usually find an email address to contact the owner. I do not understand the refusal to remove this, either.
