The review point were too far from my hometown location

I come from Hong Kong and wayfarer always give me some China and Macao waypoints to review. I can’t even go there because they need some kind of proof of identity to travel there. Can wayfarer change the review location for us to easily go with? Thanks.

You don’t need to physically visit the places you’re reviewing.

You will receive nominations from a relatively large area surrounding your home, bonus, and play locations.

But I don’t even know the place is real or not, China can’t even use google map.

You might find that you can “open in” another map and and more easily review nominations elsewhere.

Hello and welcome,

All Wayfarers have a large area for review, and it can include areas you do not live near. As a US reviewer, I get upgraded submissions from all over the country, and most likely the submissions you are getting are from your upgrade area. which is even larger than your main review area.

Unfortunately, this is how reviewing works, and is not a bug. We all have a main review area that is close to our home and/or bonus location, as well as an upgraded review area, that is much larger and may include many states and/or countries.

You will want to use all of the tools provided to you while reviewing, such as doing web searches, Street View, etc, to determine if the submission is locational where it is and is accurate, without having to ever be at said place physically. It’s up to the submitter to prove that the place is there and is accurate, and it’s up to us reviewers to make sure everything is correct.

We also have global challenges from time to time, and these will allow reviewers from all around the world to complete reviews from different parts of the world. If you do not wish to participate in these, you will want to turn Wayfarer Challenges off in settings.
