I am wondering why I am continually getting Wayspot nominations from all over the country. I rarely get them from my own city. I have set my location within Wayfarer. I have reviewed over 7k Wayspots, but I am considering walking away from this. Any ideas how to change this? Thanks in advance.

There are multiple factors that determine where you get reviews from.
- Your local reviewing range is roughly a 200km radius around your last played location. The area is specifically defined as the most recent level 6 S2 cell you played in and the 8 cells surrounding it (see “What is an S2 cell?”).
- You will also get nominations from the country you are located in. This is also determined by S2 cells, so sometimes you might get nominations from other countries that are close to the border.
- Your home and bonus locations work similarly to your local reviewing range. Each location you set will give you nominations from that location’s level 7 S2 cell and the surrounding cells.
Thanks but that’s not it I am getting them from much further away. I appreciate your input.
It could be that they’re just simply aren’t enough nominations in your area. I live in the south east of the US, and I routinely see nominations from everywhere in the country, sometimes even from Mexico.

Read the second point again:
When a nomination is upgraded, it gets shown to a wider reviewing audience, so you may get reviews from all over your country, especially if they’ve been upgraded.
It’s fairly rare to get nominations from your own city/town, and that’s likely by design, due to the fact it would be easier to abuse the system if you always got very local submissions to review.

I live in the south of Brazil and get stuff from all over the country, the further one was in Aruba. It’s just how it goes.
I also get sometimes from aruba. Think because it also part of the netherlands
