I am trying to find local nominations so I can check them out and vouch for them. I’m not sure how to do that.
Welcome to the forum! I don’t understand your question. Are you looking for things to submit, or trying to find local nominations while you are reviewing? If it is the second one, there is no way to narrow your review feed. If you are trying to find things to nominate, you can give us a general area and some of us enjoy looking around on Google Maps to see if there are any likely candidates nearby. But don’t disclose anything potentially identifying.
Welcome @Morticiabones
I’m not sure if you have a good grasp of what wayfarer involves.
People (wayfinders) submit potential wayspots that they come across.
These are then reviewed and assessed by wayfinders. The idea of local reviewers can be 100s of miles away, so it is rarely an area you know well.
If you wish to review log into the wayfarer site and follow Instructions and feel free to ask more questions.
I want to review peoples suggestions near by. I assume you have to physically be near a stop to review it in person? It’s asking me about stops far away from me I’ll never get to.
There is no requirement to go to the physical location to confirm a nomination. You will be able to review from several different areas:
- Play area (where you actively play Ingress or Pokémon Go)
- Home - you can select this. It should be a place you are comfortable with but outside of your play area. Note that you cannot change this selection.
- Bonus location - anywhere in the world! Consider picking a place where you understand the language and culture at first. Can be changed every 3 months.
With the various areas you can get nominations from there is really no way to see them in person before a review times out. But I think it’s neat to see places far and wide. Get comfortable using Google map features to try and verify the location.
Good luck and have fun!
