There are 25 PokéStops within S2 Cell Lv14, but only two Gyms exist in Pokémon GO

    There are 25 spots within S2 cell Lv14 around 35°52’13.3“N 140°00’06.4”E, but only two gyms exist in Pokémon GO. This has been going on for about half a year. Could this be a bug?

Welcome to the forum.
I just checked, and it seems that there are indeed only two Gyms in that area on Campfire.
It looks like there are Gyms/PokéStops in 24 sections, but perhaps one section contains two Gyms/PokéStops. In any case, the requirement for a third Gym to spawn should be met.
This is a question about how Pokémon GO utilizes Wayspots, so it’s not directly related to Wayfarer. However, I have heard that a PokéStop selected for a PokéStop Showcase (おひろめポケストップ) is not chosen for Gym creation. Is there a PokéStop Showcase active in that area?

What are you using to verify there are only 2 gyms? Are there any Sponsored gyms you may not me accounting for?

The number of gyms was confirmed at the campfire. There were no sponsor-owned gyms either. The gym is located within the area indicated by the arrow.

There are some reasons why campfire would not show gyms, which is why id like to hear the OPs answer.

There are two gyms on my nearby that do not show on campfire because they do not host raids at the property owner’s request, fyi.

Thank you all for your comments. Currently, only two gyms are displayed on Pokémon GO, the same number as campfires.

Is it possible that there used to be third gym in that cell but it was moved across the cell to another. We had few cases in our city where a gym was moved from cell to another and no new gym was made since the gym was still in game. It just was in another cell.

Thank you. It doesn’t seem like the gym is moving in the opposite direction of the cell.

me pasa algo similar, creo, pero mas que sea un perjuicio es un beneficio en una celda n14 de mi zona tengo 4 gimnasios activos, y ninguno es patrocinado ni nada por el estilo. estoy algo desconcertado al respecto y quisiera comentar el problema en el foro pero como genera un gran beneficio a mi comunidad de momento hare de la vista gorda.
