As a vegetarian, I can’t comment. I’ve been told in the past to be wary of them. lol.
I just think its very good form to use up everything, no waste… haggis does that too.
I’m not able to eat wheat, and most black pudding contains some, so I can’t eat it anymore, but its part of the traditional non veggie cooked breakfast so worth a try.
You can get veggie haggis and gluten free versions.
Sounds great!!
Haggis via any any other cooking practice is just not haggis!
Loses some of the disgust factor when it skips the animal products
Exactly! (And just for the record, I’m not one of those Veggie / Vegan food warriors. People can eat whatever they like).
You had me at fried pizza
Oh nice trip planned.
My son just travelled to north scandinavia to see Aurora. No luck. Two weeks later I was in GB around the Derby Dales and saw the Northern Lights twice. So you could see them in both GB and Norway.
Re submitting waypoints. I got 9 in my recent trip to London (and a few more from a few months earlier). Holland Park and then around Chiswick. Not central London. And if you going out of town - IE to smaller villages you should be in. I hit up about 30 nominations in a few villages. With routes and all.
So not sure how you travelling but if you have a chance to get out of the big towns/cities into the country then you may well have better luck nominating.
If you like Indian food. Hit up Brick Lane in London. If you like West Indian Food try and find a Cottons Rum Shack. Awesome for a night out
Wanna see how the other half lives. Walk from Selfridges down Duke past Grosvenor Square To Berkeley Square turn left towards Saville Row. Be near Piccadilly then. Lots of great POIs. And you will get a different feel to London in this area. If in Carnaby Street pop round to the Shaston Arms on Ganton. Great beer. Great feel. No food mind.
@LetsRollGirl you should say roughly what area/s you staying in London. As so many options…
DEEP FRIED MARS Bar. Have to try that at least once… And Irn Bru. That is a real drink.
Basically we will try and throw any food in a deep fat fryer in the believe that it will come out better.
If you are travel from USA to UK, then you need a voltage converter like this one. Check the electric voltage plugs for each country as they can be different. You may find these at tourist stores in UK but it’s better to order it online before your trip.
As it sounds like you are traveling with a tourist group, keep a tight grip on your RFID blocking purse and zip lock your wallet.
And if you see any generic trail markers…oh wait! Never mind.
Heading to Norway tomorrow! Our free day in Alta (so far) is on the 13th. Doing a tour on the 12th.
@Trollfarer and any others that may know the area.
Are things going well so far?
We have been having a wonderful time
Done any nominations, routes, parties hard. Or just partied hard… Any particularly POI that has stood out… Keep enjoying…
Honestly we have mostly partied. Though I would like to get a few nominations in this trip. Just getting ready to explore Alta. Gotta find those wayspots! And to be fair I have never made a Mission. So that’s a new goal - though maybe not for this trip.
I have interacted with so many new portals and am collecting a variety of Postcards
I will need to go through some of the post cards and keys and do a best of list.
Getting in a few Reviews while our group is getting a rental car this morning… Just learned that Google translate does not have Norwegian as one of its default languages to translate
Use DeepL or me!!
You could submit the mall in Alta (AMFI Alta). Most of these havent been submitted because people in the past always rejected them for generic business
