Typical "In Queue" Time for New Nominations

How long do new nominations typically stay in queue before going to voting? I have read a little bit about this, and it sounds like urban areas are slower than smaller towns or rural areas. Does anyone have a good guestimate on the time table? When should I use an upgrade to fast track a nomination?

Thanks, SamhainWraith

Welcome,

It depends on several factors…

  • How many Nominations in the queue.
  • How many reviewers in your area.
  • How many ultra close nominations (it seems that if you nominate 2 in close proximity only 1 will go to voting at a time).

I am in the UK and 2 weeks from start to end is usually enough but I have heard some areas it’s more like 2 to 3 months. In the old days it was sometimes years :frowning:

Good luck

Hi @SamhainWraith
Welcome to the forum :hugs:
An upgrade opens your nomination to more reviewers. So it’s useful when your nomination enters the “in voting” stage.

Thank you! That’s a great clarification. The upgrade doesn’t hasten the queue, just the voting process. I am very new to this, so I appreciate it.

Thank you! Here in southwest USA, but the review pool seems to cover the whole country. That is a great point about close nominations that I saw on Reddit too. I nominated two close together, so I expect they’ll enter voting one at a time.
