Hi and welcome to the forum, I moved this to Bug Reports & Technical Support and edited the title for now clarity on what the issue is.

Is it possible to make screen recording? It will help staff understand better

Also, could you please try using a different device?

I have had similar. So I am going to assume you are using an Android Device. I am using a Moto G13.

When you close an App it is just moved in to the background so its ready for the next time. Android monitors this and when it needs to re-claim RAM it closes the background apps.

Some are stricter on this so when it switches to the gallery to select an image, Pokemon Go is placed in to the background, Android then closes Pokemon Go deciding it needs the RAM back.

I tried several settings all without any luck. The method I have to use now is…

  • Whilst on Wi-fi use the “Download Assets” option in Pokemon Go.
  • When on site take the images.
  • (You could return home as long as nomination is less than 10km away).
  • Use the “square” button at the bottom of the screen to clear all apps.
  • Restart phone.
  • Open Pokemon Go and start the nomination process.

Before I did this approx 1 in 10 would be successful , after this approx 1 in 10 still fail.

I’m an iPhone user and have been experiencing this for the past six months at least > even with the latest iOS update and Pokémon Go - but I haven’t thought about it since I found what was causing the problems for me.

If I’m using my Airpods Pro and listening to something (doesn’t matter what app, Pod, Spotify, whatever) and trying to nominate at the same time, when I reach the supporting images and take the photo (most of the time I see the pop-up saying my Airpods are connected) the game crashes and my Bluetooth devices freeze - and try to restart.

If I try to start Pokémon without having fixed Bluetooth - it doesn’t start properly.

Hopefully this will lead you somewhat to one of the problems - don’t have time to fix a video right now, but maybe in a couple of hours.

Please reach out to in-App support and follow the troubleshooting steps they suggest. Thanks,
