Hello, I’d like to ask for help. I wanted to move a PokeStop (green circle) to its current location (red circle), as it’s not in its original location on private property. The location where it is (blue circle) is located. I simply wanted to move it to a location that isn’t private property, then move it until it’s in the correct location. Initially, I wanted to remove it, but I read that several players need to report it for it to be considered. I meant well, but now I’ve been banned for 30 days. I didn’t mean to cheat; I just wanted it to be in its proper place.
I am having a lot of trouble following what you are asking. Only make a location edit in order to correct a Wayspot to its real world position. If it is too far for you to do in game, you can ask help chat to do it at Niantic Wayfarer . They will most likely need evidence unless it is easy to see the correct location in Maps. They will not move a Wayspot simply to make it show up in Pokemon Go, if that is what you are trying to do, and consider that abuse.
If the true location is on SFPRP (single family private residential property) then it should be reported for removal, not moved to a different location. If you submit the location edit, there is always the possibility that the team will decided to remove the Wayspot.
It does not take reports from multiple explorters to get a location corrected.

I wanted to adjust the PokeStop to its proper position. It’s in Pokémon GO. Unfortunately, it’s too far away to move at once, so I wanted to move it to a private area and then move it to the correct location.
Oh is this related to the ban post earlier? Did you explain this to Aaron in the DM?
It is abuse of Wayfarer if your suggested move is not on the actual thing that the Wayspot is for. Even if you were trying to inch it closer to the real world location, this is not allowed. The help chat option is available if the move correction was too far to do in game.

I’m sorry to hear of your ban, but moving wayspots to an inaccurate location is considered abuse. I realize you were trying to get it to the correct/accurate location but there is a limit in game to how far a suggested location edit can be moved. If the correct location is further than this you can use the help chat in Wayfarer. I’m sorry you’ve learned this the hard way
Also I have moved this from the Bug section to a general area as this is how it is intended to work

People make mistakes, and the team understands that. I wonder if the “private area” you were trying to edit this to is the reason this was considered to be abusive enough to warrant a 30 day ban.
I’ve read the rules several times to see if I can do this, and I haven’t read anywhere that I can’t. I’d really like to have the ban lifted, as it’s just a misunderstanding. Next time, I’ll know not to do it.
only that this Pokestop was on private property and I wanted to take it away from there

I am sorry to hear that, Personally i receive 30days suspension during black and white kyurem . It was very frustrating but i come back. What you can do know is appeal try explaining everything , learn from this mistake, and hopefully staff will retract the strike.
Anyway for future reference, if you have other nomination that need edit location more than 10m, you can use help chat. Staff will ask for evidence in order to move it though.

This information is incorrect and misleading. I have already explained everything in the DM. The suggested location of the Wayspot was not even in the direction of the correct location of the object.
