Hi all!
Im struggling to understand the appeal rejection that my nomination was a “normal painting” - I tried to emphasize in the supplementary info, in the appeal information, and the supplementary photo (of the art plaque) that this is in fact a large LED wall with the artists animated work on it.
Its a really cool piece that would only translate well if seen in person or through a video. The only thing I could think to try would be a resubmission with several photos showing the animation changing constantly, but was unsure if I should even try. Does it lack enough uniqueness?
Some of my photos that depict it isnt a normal painting:
Thank you in advance for any help
Hello and welcome @kaianyte
What an innovative artwork. Really cool and definitely something I would make an effort to see.
You did the right thing with with supporting photo, although ideally I would have an image with the picture and description together. In my opinion it meets exploration criteria.
Was there any difficulty for reviewers to confirm the location?
Hello @kaianyte
Welcome to the wayfarer forums.
What a stunning piece of art. I defenitely see why you decided to submit this piece.
You did a great job with the photos to let reviewers understand as much as possible. Compliments from me on that.
I do hope that staff sees this appeal decision and decides to overturn it.
Let us know if that happens, would like more of these beautiful as wayspots.
Please ask if you have more questions.
Good luck
Thank you for the feedback!
It doesnt seem like they did since it wasnt mentioned, but I also considered submitting a supplement photo of it from the side to show it next to the large windows (however there were people in the lobby there so I wanted to avoid creeping them out). Thats a good point about having the plaque in it too! Its just barely visible in the submission photo to the side, so if I resubmit ill definitely include that more in view!
Thank you very much! I appreciate that
