Aproximadamente hace una semana use una mejora en una contribución que estaba en votación, no es la primera vez que lo hago y la respuesta de la comunidad no suele tardar más de un día o dos, pero esta vez ha demorado más y tras haber leído algunas publicaciones de la comunidad sobre mejoras que se quedan “atascadas” y no suelen progresar querría saber si tendría que acercarme con alguien que me pueda ayudar o si así serán las mejoras en el futuro ?

Apparently these days each time I have used an upgrade, I have to post here to get them processed as they slide into NIA Voting. This one has been waiting for a week, which I think is unreasonable as we actually work for these upgrades. In normal voting an upgraded nomination gets processed in a maximum of two days.

It’s a historical building protected by The Finnish Heritage Agency built between the Winter War and the Continuation War in Finland. It’s still used by small businesses and restaurants and it even has a parish. While I realize ”SOK” might be unknown for non-Finns, it’s kind of a big deal in Finland. Seriously tho, I think the system is bugged, and I want my upgrade back and my nomination processed.

I submitted a new Wayspot nomination on April 24th, 2024, and later upgraded it, and yet it still is in queue. I did wait some time before upgrading, to make sure that it doesn’t go into Niantic voting, and as of today, it still shows as in queue.
Could someone please take a look to see why this hasn’t been voted on yet? My upgraded nominations typically get a resolutions within a few days.

I see that you have merged into a single thread posts from two separate people asking what to do about their upgraded nominations being stuck in queue, but is anyone going to answer them? I have a similar situation. Unfortunately I didn’t know not to apply an upgrade right after nominating, and I also made some edits after upgrading, which I’ve also seen mentioned as being problematic. Sigh. I don’t know if I’m supposed to just wait indefinitely or if I should post a fresh bug report. I’m guessing not, though, since you merged these other cases. Thanks for any advice.
You can upgrade soon after upgrading, but since the ML can decide within minutes these days, it’s recommended to wait. I nominated a Wayspot on May 8th, and it was approved in less than 24 hours by ML If it hadn’t been approved after 24 hours, I would have considered upgrading.
I don’t know if edits have anything to do with this, as I also made edits to my ML approved Wayspot before it was accepted within a few hours after I nominated it, and those edits were accepted before approval.
@admins Any update on this issue? The one I reported is still in queue.

Niantic Staff monitor the bug report category, so they will take note.
We have to wait at the moment for news about the issues raised.

I see that your upgraded nomination was pulled into Niantic voting and has been decided already. Regarding the larger issue, we are working on a fix and community will be notified when the fix is shipped.

It must have been recently pulled, because it was still listed as in queue earlier today. It was just approved, so I’m all good now.

If your Upgraded nomination is delayed in Niantic voting, your Upgrade would be refunded automatically.

Can you also speak to my issue? My upgraded nomination seems to be stuck. I decided to withdraw and start over but it won’t even let me withdraw. Thanks for any help.
What about people who previously lost upgraded nominations to Niantic In Voting? Will those people get refunded as well?

I think when I asked the admins for an update, one may have pulled the nomination for review, since it was still in queue. I don’t think I deserved any kind of special treatment, but I do kind of feel like that may be want had happened.

It is normal for there to be a delay before a nomination will go into voting. This time period can be from 1-7 days, even with an upgrade. Please give it time.
The nominations being approved in 20-24 hours are most likely ML (machine learning ai) model decisions. Those emails will say the decision was by “our team” instead of the community. You should actually save your upgrades until after that first 24 hours has passed to see if the ML model will decide them. You may not need to use the upgrade.
