Please keep in mind that 1) it’s the weekend, and 2) GO Fest Madrid was this weekend. We also believe there may be less reviewing currently, as I myself have seen it take longer to get agreements.
These nominations have been upgraded for more than a month. This is not working as intended.
Niantic just posted about the rollback to an older version, and they do note there is a backlog.
I upgraded a wayspot nomination yesterday and it was resolved today. I hope this gets fixed for others.
The rollback happened this weekend, so I can see how your upgraded nomination got resolved before others.
I have an upgrade that has been in voting for 10 days now. This is the longest time an upgrade has taken to be decided. I had two other waystops that were decided within 24 hours of submissions and they were not upgraded.
Something is indeed off.
@NianticAaron @admins This seriously needs another look into. It shouldn’t be taking weeks for upgraded submissions to be resolved. We continue to have users coming here to the forums asking if upgrades are working, and they don’t seem to be.
Either they aren’t working, or the upgrade queue in some areas is backed up, thus taking longer for a decision to be made. Please look into this again.
I’m sure the many folks at Niantic all of whom are very smart and capable of recognizing actual bugs when they see them* will get back to everyone shortly and assure us that upgrades are still working as intended.
*some statements may be made under duress.
‘still’ that word might be the issue.
‘working as intended’ means that something might have changed that we don’t know about which makes upgrades go slower.
‘still working as intended’ indicates that nothing has changed.
Still, as in since they said they’re working as intended previously, which was after any theoretical change to not break upgrades by intentionally making them take longer than a month.
So, this was posted today:
And, an upgraded nomination I had sitting in voting for a couple weeks was just decided upon. I nominated it on June 8th, upgraded it a few days later after going into voting, and it was just resolved and accepted,.
So, could the ratings issue also have affected upgrades? Hmm…
I have absolutely no evidence but i’m 100% convinced the two things were connected.
Yes, I can confirm that the overall lower rating has impact on the resolution of every submission (slower) in the system including the ones which are upgraded.
Stuff happens. Glad you all are on the job and we can all stop pretending that everything is working “as intended”. Thanks for sorting this for us!
@NianticAaron @admins Hi,
Some of my upgraded submissions are still stuck after more than a month, can I have some information on that if it is possible ? Thank you guys
