I had my first rejection from machine learning today and I was a bit annoyed, but then when I review my local area, like a good chunk of what I see are neighborhood entrance signs. “welcome signs” or whatever you call them, for the most, are very similar in design. Majority of them are pretty much just a brick sign with some gaudy font like “Villages of x” or “x Lakes” etc
They still get approved, there are new build subdivisions all around me with these entrances as stops, they aren’t interesting either. I just think if you are explicability saying something isn’t eligible, an easy way to stop people from thinking it is, is if they don’t see it everywhere.
Yes, unfortunately, since there is no clarification on neighborhood signs, many that are nominated get passed ML and go into the community queue. We have been asking for clarification for a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time, and have yet to receive.
Personally, when it comes to neighborhood signs, I reject most. I’ll only consider accepting if there is something esle that is part of the sign that makes them eligible, such as a decorative water fountain, statute/unique art, even a pergola/pavilion. If they don’t have something else that meets criteria, it’s just an advertisement for the neighborhood from the developer and/or property management, so it’s not distinct to me.
Thank you for letting us know that ML is rejecting these - ty for the information. I understand it is confusing when you see them as live game locations and in review. I have no idea why some get past the filter and others don’t. But it does “learn” so maybe that is what is happening.
Completely agree here, but they rarely remove previously accepted ones when reported.
