Waypoint not working

I made a waypoint, it got accepted but I haven’t seen it in game it’s been 4 weeks.

Never ending bottle 29.421767,-98.438211 shares an L17 S2 cell with an existing pokestop, City skyline mural 29.421920,-98.438201, so is not eligible to be a pokestop.

When I introduced people to the idea of S2 cells, I try to remember to add a caution that points of interest must always be placed where they actually exist. Trying to slide a Wayspot into an empty cell gets a lot of people in trouble. Just use it to understand where to look.

You cannot fix the issue. You can look elsewhere for something to submit.

I can’t just resubmit the application and place it elsewhere

If you resubmit, it will be a duplicate.

I just explained that placing something in an empty cell if it isn’t really there is abuse. We see lots of 30 day bans here for doing that.

If the pin for the location is where it really exists, then moving it would be abuse.

I don’t feel that way when one of mine isn’t eligible to be used in Pokemon Go, but to be fair, I do know the S2 cell rules ahead of time. Getting a Wayspot accepted is an achievement in itself. And who knows what Scopely may think of to do with the extra Wayspots?

There is also the fact that this is a backup.

If “City skyline mural” was legitimately removed with evidence then instead of losing a stop the other waypoint would replace it.

It is only pointless if you havent learned from this and I think you have.
Until powerspots came along some of our submissions lay in this dormant state and now we can use them in game… the lesson from that is that you never know what could happen.
Now that you know about cells have a fresh look. This looks like its an amazing place and that there might be other things to find hopefully one of them will fit criteria and be in the right place to go into the game.
Start looking again.
