Thank you for you answer and detailed explanation. How can I know if there’s something else in S2 cell?
@NianticAaron can you help me?

There’s no need to tag staff on this.

While we do not have an accurate map currently (one will be coming in the future), if you provide the lat/long coordinates, someone can take a look and see if there is another Wayspot in the cell. You can also check on the nomination map when submitting to see if there is currently a Wayspot in the area.

I do not believe that staff acknowledge the use of S2 cells. They always refer to an “additional automated review” instead of S2 cells. The use of S2 cells is a community observation.

It is unfortunate indeed.

I do hope we have an option to include them in the new map when it comes.

Even rhough the accurate map is already a huge blessing😅

these are the coordinates that appear in the incoming mail: 40.501083, -3.691852
how can i check them?

Those coordinates are at the red pin:

Which on this outdated map is not occupied by a Wayspot being used as a portal. However, the pin may have been moved in review, or there may be another Wayspot there that is not shown on this map.

What you can do is to go to the location and begin a nomination. You will be able to see the wayspot as an exclamation point (!) in the nomination map screen if you have the toggle in the bottom left corner turned on. That will tell you if it has been moved.

You can also look around the area of that grid to see if there is another Pokestop in that cell.

Thank you for your help!
I’m going to do that. I will be back😊

it does look like it could be a new work done at this location which matches the sidewalk, brick, and shutters in your photo. this is at 40.50069776860794, -3.691802690785223 and may be where the pin was moved to in review. this would be in that occupied cell to the south of your original pin.

That point is not the one I proposed.

I did what you suggested and this is what I see in the game

when you tap on the ! is that your wayspot?

if it is, it looks like it has been moved to the same cell as the other Wayspot.
i can’t tell the exact coordinates, but around 40.50093040686614, -3.6918336664445226

if this is your wayspot and the location is not accurate, you can ask help chat at https://wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/new/help to correct the pin to its real location. they will need evidence, like geotagged photos to do the move.

In the pic, A is my wayspot and B is the only pokestop in the area

Hey @21RueCambon ,

I see that this Wayspot was moved to its correct location during review. Please note that submitting Wayspots at incorrect locations is considered abuse and may lead to sanctions on your account.

While some nominations may be deemed eligible by the community of reviewers on Niantic Wayfarer for inclusion into Niantic’s location database, they may not necessarily be added into every Niantic game. After a nomination is approved by reviewers, there is an additional automated review that determines whether the nomination is an appropriate fit for each particular Niantic game. Each game has their own set of criteria for this step, so some nominations may be accepted into one game but not another.

The most common reason that an eligible nomination is not added to Pokémon GO is because the nomination is too close to existing PokéStops or Gyms. If an existing game location is removed or the criteria changes, the nomination may appear within Pokémon GO at a later time.

Please keep in mind that while this is a common reason, it is not the only one.

Thanks,

Thank you for your help
This is the view I’ve got today. A lot of unseen wayspot hiden for Pokémon go trainers
And lastly a final question, is it possible the other way round?, meaning a wayspot that appears for Pokémon go been requested by a player of another game

The wording on those other Wayspots is confusing. They are not necessarily used in other games, and had not necessarily been submitted through other games. They simply are not being used in Pokemon Go as Pokestops.

Some of those may be imports that are only to be used for PowerSpots and are not eligible to be used as Pokestops. Those imported Wayspots usually have a placeholder photo, unless someone has added a photo through an edit. The imported ones look like this originally
