Submitted a public piece of art as a waystop via Pokemon Go but it was rejected as a duplicate. I appealed as there are no Pokestops, Gyms or other markers associated with it in the game but my appeal was rejected. Is it possible for something to be a waypoint but not appear in Pokemon Go?
Hey, it’s exactly as you said - some Wayspots accepted through Wayfarer are not in use in Pokémon GO because that game has an additional set of inclusion rules
Thank you - Do you know if there’s a way to see the Pokemon Go inclusion rules? Would love it to be added.
Pokemon go never acknowledge s2 cells so you wont find official rule. Below you can read where it come from community observation. Why an accepted Wayspot may not be used in Pokemon Go (S2 cells and Pokemon Go)
But Niantic said this on every acceptance email “Remember that not all accepted nominations will appear in all Niantic games”
Only with third party tools, like “wayfarer tools” for example
Here’s how that would look like. The spot without the cells (inclusion rule) can also be viewed in the map section of the wayfarer website
To add you can see your photo has been added, and it is at least available as a powerspot
Looking at the rest of the park it shows empty S2 level 27 cells

On Satelitte it shows a full size football pitch if you submit that at the goals where I have put the cross that should give another pokestop and above that there looks as though there may be a smaller 5 aside pitch? If that is there that could be submitted roughly at the position of the cross which would be behind that goal or alternatively you could submit the cricket pitch itself.
Try to position the pins off the field of play but on boundary .
Happy to help if you need further advice @JeremysIron

It looks like the Northern end has another full sized football pitch - again this can be submitted separately.
The bowling green is also eligible as that is the place where the activity happens. I would suggest whilst you are there a nice new photo for the bowling club/pavillion the one that is there doesn’t do it justice. The club is more about facilitating the social aspects.
This is a great park where you can give it a wayfarer uplift. ![]()
