Hello I have an approved wayspot that was in pokemon go for the last two weeks and it all of a sudden disappeared. Yet when I go to my account it still says approved?
Even if it is removed due to issues with the Wayspot, your Wayfarer Contributions page would not update for this.
It would stay at Accepted as it was Accepted at the time.
The status of the submission in your account will not change, because that is the result of your submission. However, one of these is likely to have happened:
- The location of the wayspot might have changed (been corrected), meaning it no longer appears as a pokestop/gym
- The location or that specific wayspot might have been blocked after a request by the property owner
- Niantic might have removed the wayspot because they felt it shouldn’t have been accepted; you wouldn’t get any notice of this, but I don’t know if this still happens (it certainly happened for some submissions accepted by eMiLy when the ML system was accepting things).
