I’ve submitted requests for moving the poi, but it was denied twice. I even received a warning after submitting an appeal. After looking on Google Streetview I noticed that it was still in the old position on there.
How do I go about getting the poi moved to its current location?
Does my account have an official warning/strike now? If so, I would like to have it removed since I believe it is not deserved.
I can’t tell you about the warning/strike. I submit location edits that are not obvious on Google Maps through help chat on the Wayfarer site where I can submit geotagged photos to prove what I am saying is accurate.
[Edit: I thought this may just be copy/paste information that goes on all the appeal email rejections, but I recently cleaned out my inbox and can’t find an example to compare.]
Hey ! I just got the same case than you. I appealed for an edit and it got refused (even if I provided pictures of the accurate stop). And I just got a strike from niantic because of it ig. They said that they send me an email with the reasons of the strike but i didn’t get anything yet. Could it be a bug or something?
@MachokeOnDeez and @Joshadows did you reply to the email? When I reply to the email, I normally get a response something like “apologies, this is not a warning, we just want to notify you about policy” - I don’t have the exact text since I cleaned out my inbox.
I cannot even imagine working at a place where someone can develop a series of misinformative emails, get them approved, use them for years with constant flack about how egregiously wrong they are, replace them with new misinformation, and continue in the same vein.
Quality is a big number two, and it smells like it, too!
I got warning on campfire and Pokemon go too. When i asked to the support what was wrong, they answered a generic sentences like " if you don’t cheat, you don’t have to worry about it"
I mean I’m not cheating but it’s still confusing to get that pop up every time i want to go in the app
Check other services (e.g., Bing Maps Streetside) to see if they are up to date. Links from there can be helpful.
Otherwise, take a few images and create a public photo album on some service with just those and use a link to that in your appeal (I use Google Photos for that). Heck, for one move, I made a video of me walking from the old location to the new location.
