I submitted this nomination a while ago with the title “Gate to [name of nature reserve]”. It was my very first submission and I wrote a pretty lengthy description explaining why it was a nature reserve and how it’s a popular area for birdwatching, trail running etc.
It got rejected due to unsafe access and personal info. While I understand why it’d get rejected I don’t understand those reasons.
I’m thinking about resubmitting since ive gained more experience and I’ve had all my other nominations accepted. Is it better to appeal?
If I resubmit. What do you think I should change? I’m thinking about perhaps submitting the nature reserve sign instead of the gate and change the supporting picture so you get a clearer view of the trail leading into the reserve.
Welcome @desertlily
You have come to the right place.
And don’t worry, most of us would look at our first few nominations and cringe.
Can you post the whole nomination please both photos, a cut and paste version of the text to make translation easy, and if you are happy to do so the location.
We can then look and offer advice.
This looks like a lovely place to explore, certainly not unsafe, did you include any personal identifiers in the text? As @elijustrying says, if you can provide the full nomination we can better advise how to improve it.
Im still waiting to get an appeal back so my “unsafe” diving pool can be looked at again. People also seem to like to say that footbridges are unsafe. So I think reviewers dont know what the word safe means sometimes
Would love to help get this approved, looks like a great place to exercise and explore would like to see the whole nomination so we can see what people might have been (not) thinking
Ok, this is cringy but here are the details (text in Swedish)
Title: “Grind till Gredelby Hagar”
Coordinates: 59.733912,17.782364 (from Google maps)
Another thing. When I looked at the map where users submit wayspots (forgot it’s name… Poke info?) this gate was listed as a wayspot. But since that info is unreliable I decided to submit it anyway and was expecting a dublicate rejection but that didn’t happen. The cell seems to be completely empty.
I agree on the title. Some of the other gates are called entrances so I will change that.
And I think I will let the sign be the focus of the picture when I resubmit (although I think the gate makes for a more interesting way stop but it is what it is).
I missed this bit in the support earlier. Personally it doesn’t bother me and reviewers are not supposed to view that negatively. Some do though so I’ve found it better to not add any game specific info even if it’s technically ok.
