You can’t appeal rejected nominations here. You need to use the appeal button on your nomination in wayfarer itself.
That being said, before you attempt to appeal it using the appeal button, I suggest you carefully look at this page on the wayfarer website, specifically the section titled “Ineligible location, place, or object”, as you should find the reason your nomination was rejected listed in that section.
The reason you were given “wayfarer criteria” along with the email stating that “our team” rejected the nomination are both signs that this was rejected by the Machine Learning rather than going into voting by humans. Given that your nomination is covered by a rejection criteria, I would say the ML has worked correctly in this case and that you shouldn’t appeal the decision.
Given Niantic’s prior handling of fire stations, I can understand why you’d nominate one. That said, art that’s near a fire station does meet removal criteria, even if fire stations themselves don’t.
Whatever you do, don’t submit a banquet hall that is located away from anywhere that would obstruct emergency services. That’ll get you slapped with a warning-that-isn’t-actually-a-warning-except-maybe-it-is.
