I understand that niantic doesnt always accept removal requests, but this is a fire station, how do you not accept this removal?

I have moved the request to the correct section, can you provide more information on your request?

nothing more to say really. was on the other side of my city when driving and saw the fire station in game. pulled over and submitted a request for removal. this post was more of a me venting and wow really niantic thing and less of a me trying to fight for it to still be removed, just blew my mind that a fire station with the name of the submissions having fire station in it still wasnt enough for nisntic to remove it upon the removal submission. whether further action is taken or not its whatevs i did my part, but thats why i submitted under general discussion instead of appeals.

Staff are humans, so mistakes can get made. Good thing to keep that in mind for the future.

Being this has been moved to Wayspot Appeals and you have provided the coordinates, it should get looked into again by staff. For further evidence, Google Maps and Street View show this as a fire station:

It is important that the Wayfarer Team look carefully at removal requests for up to date information about the location and whether or not it should be removed.
Streetview is 2 years old.
This location is listed on the local website as fire station 25 and still active.

So it is currently an emergency service location.

It may well be that the reviewer did not consider that the pin position is blocking emergency services.

It is pinned at the corner with Lee Trevino Drive where the symbol is rather than the building or driveway.

So by bringing it here as an appeal it allows for further review by the team to see if it is considered to meet removals criteria.

Thanks for the appeal, @Panthers07! After reviewing the additional evidence provided, we’ve decided to retire the Wayspot in question.
