Wayspot removal approved but still showing in Pogo

Hello,

I worked with Niantic Wayfarer support to have a wayspot removed as it is does not exist anymore. They approved the request on Monday night (PT) and said it would be removed. As of Thursday afternoon, I still see it on Campfire as well as on Pokemon Go. Is that expected? Does the wayspot removal process usually takes longer?

Ticket request # was 37112541.

I have found that the Campfire map takes a while to update. It should stop showing up after a couple of weeks with no raids there. The gym should be gone in game after this length of time when you go there in person to check. If it isn’t then you should let staff know.

Thank you for your replies. Sorry I was not clear, but the Wayspot is still showing in Pokemon Go as well. Should it not be gone by now? Could you confirm that the Wayspot was successfully removed on the Niantic side?

We don’t have a Wayspot map to check to see if it has been removed. Staff should be able to confirm if it has been removed from the Wayfarer map.

What type of location is it? Stop, Gym, Powerspot?

By the way, welcome to the Wayforum - hope you can get this resolved. Staff may pop in and check things out for you, too. The general community can just speculate but can maybe figure things out, too.

That is a Gym. Is there any staff that can review this? Or should I post somewhere else?

If its ald reported and successfully approved for removal, there is nothing you can do but wait. Maybe its just slight delay.

Sync should have happened by now, that is rather unusual. Perhaps @NianticAaron or somebody can take another look.

There have been confirmed syncs over the last few days.

Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention. Oftentimes, when we make edits to our database, there is a short period of time that passes between when the edits are input and when the changes are actually reflected. My tools are showing me that we’ve removed this Wayspot from Pokémon GO.

Please allow some more time to pass before these changes are implemented. If you continue to experience this issue even after a couple of days, please don’t hesitate to reach back out to us via this thread.
