When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:
- Wayspot Title: Bohars - Ancien pigeonnier du Tromeur
- Location (lat/lon): 48.432911999999995, -4.505824
- City: Bohars
- Country: France
- Additional Information (if any): This wayspot and four others in the same area were removed. I don’t know why. They were in a safe area and used by several players in multiple (old) niantic games. Is it possible to restore them?
Welcome to the forum @maligorn
It may help if you include the names and locations of all of the removed wayspots. That being said, I have noticed that the area seems to be the grounds of a hospital that also may have a rather sensitive department on site. Is it maybe possible that the hospital requested the removal as they didn’t want people playing games on such a site?
That location is coming up empty on the Ingress Intel map, so either these removals were done more than 2 week ago, or were done by both Niantic Spatial and Scopely.
Just looking at the location, which is a psychiatric hospital, it’s possible that the owner of the location requested that game locations be removed.
Yesterday all 5 wayspots were in the games.
Perhaps hospital requested the remove but i don’t think so because Pogo can be assimilate as a therapeutic activitie for psychiatric patients.
Regardless of whether Pokemon Go can be played by patients, if the hospital decided it is inappropriate to have the POI there, they are entirely in their right to ask Niantic/Scopely to remove them. This might be done, for example, when other people (not patients, not staff) are wandering into sensitive areas.
Since they disappeared very recently, from both Niantic and Scopely, this points strongly towards a requested removal. Only an answer from Niantic/Scopely would clarify this.
O,k i can accept all clear facts and decision. I’m waiting for Niantic/Scopely clarification.
Do you know if they are readind this post or if i must aske this question in an other place?
This looks like the right place, but it’s not guaranteed that you will get a response. Scopely staff do scan/read the messages here.

Who can I ping at Niantic Spacial and Scopely to make sure it’s readable?
You don’t need to ping anyone. It can take staff a few days or so to get back to you when you make an appeal, but they should see it and reply to it when a decision has been made.

Thanks for the appeal, @maligorn We have taken another look but stand by our decision to retire the Wayspots in question.

Thank you for this feedback. Would it be possible to have a reason?
All the affected Wayspots were created and validated in accordance with the rules, and they aren’t the only ones in an hospital.
This place doesn’t host an emergency department, it’s a place dedicated to psychiatric patients, and some long-term patients were happy to find Pokestops and Gyms.
I could understand the hospital services requesting deletion, but I’m working there and haven’t received any information about this possibility.
I see the origin of this deletion more as a malicious action by Ingress players of the opposing faction.
The location in question is considered a sensitive location. We cannot have Wayspots on its property.
Thank you, that’s rather vague. So this area wasn’t sensitive to creation but has become so.
I understand, then, that a request was made recently. Is it possible to have a link to the requester via private message?
I should point out that I work at this hospital and that with some patients we have developed a therapeutic activity around Pokémon.
Unfortunately, we cannot share any details of our conversation with any third party. Our policies forbid us from sharing any information whatsoever.
I’m sorry that I’m not of any further assistance in this regard.
Thanks for the feedback.
We’re going to start from scratch with another activity away from this ****.
MOD Edit: Removed the inappropriate word.
