Wayspot removed instead of moved

Ok, so I got a nomination to review yesterday for a restaurant that used to be in a mall that has now closed and the site is being redeveloped into the new city library and housing. I had been meaning to request a location edit, as it moved quite over 10m away and into a different city in the metro, but it was the same restaurant, same owners, everything. After getting the review yesterday for the current location, I put in the location edit request, and skipped the review.

So, today, help chat has decided to remove the Wayspot for where the restaurant used to be, the former mall site, and I don’t know if the nomination for the new location was accepted or not, and if not, I don’t know if the Wayspot can be restored and moved to the current location.

Just wondering if I can get some confirmation if the review I skipped has been approved, and if not, can the Wayspot for this restaurant be restored at its current location.

No, it was removed by help chat, not moved.

How do you see your chat box messages? Wayfarer chat closes mine after a limited time and I can never see it again . Tia !

There’s a web browser extension that saves help chat tickets for you. Do a web search for Wayfarer Tools and it’s the support ticket saver. It only saves them to the device that you are using, so if you use more than one device, make sure to have it on each.

I also have a few others, and the review history table is where I got the screenshot for the nomination.

Because these are unofficial, we can’t post the link to them here in the forums, but they usually are easy to find via a web search.

if you don’t want to install a tool, instead of using help chat, you can use the form listed above under “wayspot removals” for removals OR modifications:

using this web form will start an email chain, unlike help chat.

The distance between the two is almost 10km. I would imagine this would fall under remove and renominate.

It was submitted at the new location, but I skipped the nomination because of the Wayspot at the former location, which I included in my OP.

There’s no map, except the nomination one, that can be checked, and unfortunately, I am no where near this area at this time, and won’t be back for about a week and a half.

Thanks for the appeal, @DTrain2002! We have taken another look, but stand by our decision to remove the Wayspot in question.

Ok, but my other question wasn’t answered. Was the nomination for the new site of the restaurant approved or not?
