I would say this is a typical small village nomination trip for me but I didn’t nominate any trail markers.
On my last trip I failed to notice my bus stop and went 1.5 miles past it to the park and ride.
Saw this when I got off
Then had to walk home in the rain
Not as fun as yours.
I stood 50 minutes at a bus stop for a bus that was 20 minutes late in weather that wasn’t the nicest to me to get to the village (love england) and than I waited 1 hour 30 for a bus back into town when I should’ve waited 30 minutes because of delays due to roadworks and buses being cancelled (probably would’ve waited longer if the bus company was stagecoach )
Apart from the buses it was decent yeah.
If you have a long wait the weatheris never late
Not exactly a trip more of a night out
Skindred concert - was absolutely amazing. Submitted these in the queue outside
Great submissions, always like to see effort put into titles and descriptions.
I’m just back from a few days away, here’s a before and after with a few more just off the map and a couple still in voting. I really love finding out of the way places and making them much more playable.
That is a great job you did there. What a change
I managed to add a park - in Berlin
I thought on that trip “nothing to do for wayfarer it’s Berlin” but to find and add a missing park to the map makes me a bit proud
Wow!!! Such a difference
Some things in big cities hide in plain sight
é quasi fuori argomento ma sono curioso: in questi viaggi ad esempio voi proponete solo se esce in pogo, solo se esce in ingress o anche se non esce in nessun gioco???
My last trip was to New Mexico, during the one public-access day at the Trinity Site at White Sands Missile Base. As a particular fan of dystopian Cold War-era fiction, the Atomic Age and its relics continue to fascinate (and horrify, to an extent) me. Fortunately I had an extra day so managed to get to a peaceful and calming place, Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, the next day. Bosque del Apache is a renowned spot for bird-watchers like myself - but it really needed more Wayspots. This one was my favorite: taken during the drawdown (water levels lowered for an extended period to encourage plant growth), I think it offered a unique perspective - in just a week or so, this field would become a vast pool loaded with ducks, shorebirds, herons and cranes.
Lots of trails, more observation decks, and some beautiful vistas later - I had a nice list of submissions!
If I see something and fancy submitting it when Im on a trip, then I will just submit it without checking what game it would appear in if any
For example I went on a trip to Oxford last summer and we went to the botanical garden and it was full of information boards about the planting, and I submitted a bunch of those which the ML picked up. Unlikely any appear in any game but maybe that garden is now full of max spots
I only nominate things that will appear in pogo as I only have 40 nominations at the max to make, I don’t play any other niantic game so I don’t see the point in nominating something that won’t show up for me, especially when I rarely have more than 10 nominations to submit through pogo.
I usually do this by going on google maps and getting the coordinates and then putting them in iitc to see if it’s a free cell and if it’s not I won’t nominate it.
Yeah its very different if youre always capped on nominations
I guess I see places I visit while on a trip as places where it doesn’t matter to me what happens, accept or reject, in game or not, and sometimes that’s a bit of a welcome break from the annoyance wayfarering often brings
I’m never capped on nominations so I can “waste” them sometimes if I want
On a trip I nominate without sight on the games. I am pogo only player and usually can’t use them after I left, so it doesn’t matter. I don’t even know how my nomination ended, cause I don’t use the iitc map or wayfarer app
Most of my recent trips have been small villages in the south of my county that have a couple of things to nominate and the problem with this is that I plan to nominate 3 or 4 things but I then unintentionally come accross the same trail that basically goes through the entire southern part of the county so at the end of what was supposed to be a trip to nominate a couple of things turns into me having 5 or 6 trail markers waiting to get nominated each day. I’m thinking about walking that trail and nominating every trail marker so I don’t have to see it again.
Haha the trail is calling you
I literally walked from one village to another a month ago following the trail and I’m still nominating the trail markers. It got to one point where I wanted to nominate something else that I stopped nominating trail markers for like a week so I can visit a nature reserve and do something different.
I think atleast half of all of my nominations is this trail😆
Well. Last trip. I got a bunch in Indonesia, Singers, London, Derbyshire, Oxfordshire. Not all listed here - I got 44 accepted. 1 rejected and 1 still in review. With routes in 3 countries as well.
Holland Park Mosaics, Fatboys Cafe, Alstonfield Squeeze are all up there as faves.
Weather. In UK. Some rain. Much fog. Blue sky. But Indo and singers. V warm and humid. The Blue sky. Rare.
It was good to get to some UK villages and contribute to the Waypoints. One only had one when I got there and now has twenty two plus 5 routes.
Most difficult to accepted. Alm house plaque. Written in old English I think. Had to appeal that one!
Most surprised it was accepted. Morning Photo of beach volleyball court next to beach and sea. Early morning shot. The morning glare was interesting. Next time. Take shot when sun above I think!
Am a PGO player. But I nominate as a wayfarer. I know many will not appear in PGO. But that is OK. I enjoy contributing. And if I see something not nominated that that looks worthy and cool. Then why not nominate. All adds in to someones enjoyment of a game even if not mine
