What make you like doing Wayfarer?

This might be a generic question, and it very much is, however the point of making post is to see what are you enjoying the most about Wayfarer? Is it about [Press the “>” to show detail]

Posting a Pokestop[Wayspot] for local community?
  • Probably the most simple and most popular reason on doing Wayfarer, you enjoy seeing your area have more pokestop, growing a local community and make it bigger, or maybe, having a “pokestop at home”? What keep you submitting new pokestop daily? Is it an enjoyable moment watching someone who you don’t know exist, putting a lure on a pokestop that you built?

  • Or perhaps, you enjoy finding hidden eligible pokestop? A hidden cafe shop, a great wall art, etc and you want it known to the world?

Or

Enjoy reviewing and help people building wayspot?
  • Do you enjoy reviewing people submission? Do you enjoy watching a “No wayspot nearby” building from zero to a wonder area of great wayspot?

  • Or perhaps, you get to learn a hidden gem from another area, a new place with a great statue you want to see, a great wall art that you want to go there and check out?

  • Maybe, you are a map lover, and you want to improve your mapping and identification skill?

Or

Enjoy the community aspect
  • Do you enjoy educating community? Helping people who are struggle to submit a wayspot, or finding one?

  • Do you love watching a progress of someone whom you help, get better and better, and become a great Wayfinder?

  • Or maybe, as noticeable in here, the incredibly helping from every Ambassadors or Niantic Staffs in here, keep you continuing and building high quality wayspot?

Or the last one that I can think of

Finding and exploring eligible wayspot
  • Do you enjoy finding wayspots that you could go against the community, despite it could fit eligible criteria?

  • Or perhaps, posting a niche wayspot, despite it could never appear in any games because the thrill of accepting override any concern about the game map?

I know this is a rambling and longggg post, but I am curious, based on those details above, what would you love the most? You could add any reason, any story, I love to listen to people here, and maybe, other people will love to hear it too. :heart_hands:

I guess I will start off the topic as the first responder.

For me it is a bit of everything. Wayfarer made me enjoy Pogo more and helped contributing to the game. I have met so many people because of wayfarer now and I am so excited to help everybody out in my local community.

In my 8 month career I have 100 accepted wayspots in my area alone, even managed to get 2 more home stops, 1 powerspot and gym all around my house. Now im helping other people out by submitting in their area.

The best part is new gyms for me. Just seeing a new gym spawn after all your efforts is the absolute best.

Trust me, I wanted to quit many times in my career with so many rejections, but everybody in a span of almost 40KM sees me as the expert and relies on my explainations, so I can’t just quit anymore.

The forums helped me out as well. Growing to a regular here in quite a short time was exciting and helping everybody here. Although it may sometimes be repetitive answering the same “where is my pokestop” question. I still like coming here everyday to read sbout everybody’s findings and discussions.

Have a great day everybody and thank you for reading my little story. Let me know your story.

I started Ingress in order to add wayspots to Pokemon Go, and over time have been finding wayspots more for the purposes of Ingress than Pokemon Go. In my local area, there are places which were barren and now have 10s of POI in both games, making some places playable when before there was almost nothing. This includes ancient woodlands and parks.

There are some streets (on bus routes) which now have double the number of wayspots than before I started. This helps both games

Away from my local area, just finding things that are worth being wayspots, even if I never go there again.

Great topic! Although I first got into OPR, Wayfarer’s precursor, to create more stops and gyms in Pokemon Go, I quickly became enamored of the exploration aspect. I enjoy Geocaching and birding, so I’m frequently out in nature areas and I know a lot of hidden-away spots that need some recognition! There’s nothing like going on a long walk on a crisp autumn day and finding that perfect submission along a wooded path. I also really enjoy travel, so I’m working on getting submissions accepted in every county in my state, as well as as many foreign countries I can afford to visit - currently my country count stands at only five total, but I look forward to adding more! It’s a big world, with so much to see and do.

Well my title already reveals that I like to help people and stuff, and especially on topics that are dear to me, like translation, for example.

Biggest factor for my very own profile activity is wanting to place my mark on the map. Capture the flag. Find the Wayspot candidate that was not submitted yet. I want to brag and fill my profile with neat stuff

If it means I will need to drive some hours to a different country or state, I will end up doing it!
