I am asking this because I have been using the help chat on the Wayfarer website, and everything was going smoothly. However, in a chat several days ago, the help staff replied with this:
Hello,
I see that you’re trying to report an in-game location. Please reach out to our dedicated team using the following link and they will be able to assist you accordingly:
Request modification or removal of a PokéStop or Gym – Pokémon GO
Thanks,
I reviewed the form, and it seems that it is for the removal of Pokemon GO locations, not for location edits. I don’t even play Pokemon GO; I play Ingress. To make matters worse, the help chat was closed by the staff after this message, so I cannot even ask further questions.
What should I do now? Has the process really changed, or should I simply resubmit the request and hope this time works?

Ugh. I would request the location edit through help chat again. Staff sometimes make mistakes. Getting referred back to this form used to happen frequently.
fwiw, i think you can use this form to request a location edit. I believe that @Gendgi recently mentioned using it that way, so tagging him.

I got that response back on an approved location edit I just did in help chat. It says for locations 10 meters or more, and this one was for a comic book store that had moved buildings that aren’t close at all. They still made the adjustment, so I’m thinking it’s just a canned response, nothing more.
Although, in my case, there is still a Wayspot at this new building for a wishing well fountain that I don’t know if it’s still there, as I haven’t been in the new business. That could be what they are referring to in my response, as I made note of the fountain.
I simply resubmit the request and it was approved, just as you said.

Yep, canned response by the staff that responded back to you.
