Who do we provide the wayspot and coordinates?

My contribution got accepted but it did not show up in the game.

Which game? There are multiple.

There are some unique case where

  1. poi exist in ingress but not in pogo. This is because 1 poi/ 1 cell rule. U nd to look into s2 cell rule
  2. Poi exist in pogo but not in ingress. This is because 20m rule between poi in ingress. Pogo dont have 20m distance rule so if poi got accepted inside two cells but the distance is less than 20 meter, it can appear in pogo but not in ingress.

Each Niantic game uses the Spatial/Lightship map to determine game play locations; this is the map we are adding to. Each game has their own density/inclusion rules, with PoGo using S2 cells and Ingress using a 20 m rule. If you want to know more about S2 cells in PoGo, you can find more info at the link below:

Unfortunatley, I’m not finding this Wayspot on the IITC map. If you are able to provide a street address or coordinates, that would help to determine if this Wayspot meets inclusion rules.

So u have 2 wayspot in 1 s2cell. That way spot will appear in ingress but not in pogo

It’s in the same L17 S2 cell as The Old West Barnstable Fire Department, so unfortunately, it will not be in PoGo, as that cell is already occupied.

U should read the s2 cell rule before submitting more pokestop to prevent disappointment

You can still submit Wayspots as you please, but it’s best to know that not all will be in certain games due to the density/inclusion rules. I have submitted several that aren’t in PoGo but are in Ingress, and I know that they do get used in Ingress, so I’m happy for those players.
