Why is are these pokestops not added?
Hi! What you are nominating is actually a wayspot, not a pokestop. If it is accepted, it gets added to “Lightship”. Each of Niantic’s games has their own inclusion rules - Pokemon Go has never been officially confirmed, but it is usually 1 stop it gym per level 17 S2 cell.
If the ones you nominated are close to any other Pokestop, the chances are it shares a call so can’t go into that game - sorry!

fyi your photos containing a watermark should have meant rejection for the nomination. you may want to figure out how to turn that off

Great spot! I didn’t think to check anything like that as it was an accepted nomination, but definitely a good flag for people who might not realise this isn’t allowed.

If the locations are correct in real life, do not attempt to edit them to an empty cell. Here is a good article explaining the S2 cells
Except for the watermark, these are good nominations and I am glad you submitted them. As you can see, they are being used in other Niantic games. I know it is frustrating when the prompt tells you that you are submitting a Pokestop when you are actually submitting a Wayspot.
I have been very happy that Niantic is allowing us to share this information about how S2 cells are used here in this forum. I always caution people to find something that irl is in the empty cell. Pinning things away from their location to place them where they can show in Pokemon Go is abuse, but I share the information so people know where they should be looking.

But they are approved and will have been added to the main database. There is no limit on that as to how much can be added. The email you received should have said that it may not appear in all games - in fact, it may not appear in any of them. But in the future, the rules could change - so if it changes to 2 per cell, and yours is the only other one in that cell, it will then be synced and added.
I get that it’s frustrating when you were hoping for it to appear in the game you played, but you have still helped to create a better map for the lightship database! And if the stop that’s already there ever gets removed, your waypoint could suddenly appear in game.

The curious thing is that the photo sent as Main with watermark… was accepted
