Why do we have to grind until level 37?

It is two years of grinding

Hello and welcome @Helderda75

I know it can take awhile to be eligible for Wayfarer. But good news - they recently lowered the level to 35! That should help a little hopefully :grinning_cat_with_smiling_eyes:

The level requirement is necessary and helps ensure that those players who are griding to a level at which they can participate, get a better understanding of the map, and what’s on it.

This way the user will have, hopefully, interacted with a wide range of Wayspots and will have an understanding of how the game works, how stops work, and what belongs on the map.

Hello and welcome,

Hey, I know it’s off-topic, but some of us are stuck at L40 in PoGo for years, so being that L35 is the new level to be eligible for Wayfarer, take that as a good thing.

We’re already seeing a lot of new Wayfinders in the community since the level was lowered, and if you aren’t at L35 yet, hopefully you will get there soon, and you will be ready to go!

It can be done in days, it is certainly not years!! XP comes super fast nowadays compared to when Go launched in 2016.

I suggest you head out and catch things with excellent throws, add new friends and exchange gifts, and consider if you can attend some raid or gigantamax battle days as the XP gains are very fast with those.

In terms of wayfarer, you can use the time between now and reaching l35 to familiarise yourself with the wayfarer criteria and start to explore your area to find some awesome things to submit so that you’re ready!

It also helps to stop abuse, if low-level accounts were allowed access I’m sure we’d see more fake submissions and voting rings.

I almost shared the PokeDaxi video of getting to level 40 in 11 hours. But that isn’t a fun way to play.

Once I got great curveball throws down, it was pretty easy to level up that way. Don’t forget curveball throws give extra XP, so doing them as often as you can will greatly help with leveling up!

@Helderda75 I think everyone has shared some really good tips here on how to level up in PoGo, and that you don’t have to grind to get to L35. There are small things that can be done to increase XP, and there most likely are a good deal of articles and videos out there that can help advise on how to do this.

And like others have said, if you aren’t L35 yet, do make sure that when you get there, you have read up on the help center, especially the Wayspot Criteria, if you are going to submit, and How to Review Wayspots, if you are going to review (it can also be helpful for submitting). The forums are also extremely helpful to learn about Wayfarer, so take a look through (use the search bar if you are looking for something specific).
