Why isn't this spot removed?

  • Wayspot Title: Monument aux Morts du Cimetière Militaire Allemand

  • City: Lesneven

  • Country: France

  • Additional Information : I don’t understand why this gym is still not deleted. She is right in the middle of a cemetery, surrounded by the fallen which is VERY disrespectful to the deceased. In addition, the cemetery has opening and closing hours, and people break in at night to place oneself in the gym. Something must be done.

To me this is of historical importance and therefore an eligible wayspot. Not all graves are excluded, just cause they are graves.

It is above all a lack of respect for the deceased and it is the intrusions into the cemetery that make us report this spot. At a pinch, it should be moved to the entrance of the cemetery so that it is accessible without having to go in and that would solve all the problems, even if the point is not exactly right.

Limited hours is not a valid reason for removal. If anyone is breaking local laws, they should be reported to local authorities. Furthermore, if the Cemetery managers have an issue with any waypoints on their property, they can use the form at the top of this page to request theur removal with proper credentials.

Except that when the vast majority of the local community thinks that it is not respectful and views this spot in a very negative light, it is more judicious to remove it or move it.

Ineligible location, place, or object :

Sensitive locations such as gravestones (not associated with a famous/historical figure) and cemeterie

Here we are COMPLETELY in the cemetery, necessarily since it cannot be reached from the outside.

Continuing the discussion from Cemeteries & Other Sensitive Locations:

To repeat what @RoIi112 said above, the land owners or others with the authority are able to contact Niantic and request its removal.

Thanks for the appeal, @Molefax. We took another look at the Wayspot in question and decided that it does not meet our criteria for removal at this time.
