There was a very useful POI removed few days back, dont remember the title but the location was around (-25.4459903949056, -54.58530619156818) Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná, Brazil.
Why was it removed? I seems to fill all criteria to be a POI. Also it was not me that nominated it, it was a pretty old POI.
What was the POI? A mural? A building? A park? With a bit more information to go on perhaps someone can help look into it.
Those coordinates appear to be in the middle of a traffic median with no visible crossing points to it, so it was likely removed for unsafe pedestrian access.
There is a pedestrian crossing and sidewalk from both sides of the street.
Oh also it is a sculpture which is also named in google maps
The only pedestrian crossing point is marked by the red box, and it would only give safe access to the traffic island marked by the blue box.
There are no marked crossing points to the actual sculpture, which Niantic typically requires for things located on traffic medians or in the middle of roundabouts.
Believe me, I can sympathise with you here as we have a sculpture in the middle of a roundabout in my town, and during summer people do have picnics by the sculpture, but because there’s no marked pedestrian crossing to the middle of the roundabout, it is classed as unsafe as far as wayfarer goes.
