Why was this one rejected?

Hey all. Posting here again because I am confused on this double rejection. It says that my nomination was a local business sign, but I thought those could be accepted if they are significant? This therapy spot definitely is, it helps lots of people?

Also think I meant to put no nomination support tag, not general discussion. My bad.

Moved to Nomination Support :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

This location is not eligible. It provides a therapy environment for children. Anything on the property of this business will be deemed ineligible.

You may want to bookmark this link to Wayfarer Criteria. There are three sections: Eligibility Criteria, Acceptance Criteria, and Rejection Criteria.

Ah didn’t know therapy was not allowed.

Therapy is not the problem, being a place primarily for children is. It is treated the same as a School.

I don’t see how a place to receive therapy would be a great place for exercise, exploration, or being social - the core eligibility criteria - even if it weren’t primarily for children, which makes this one an absolute reject. Therapy is a medical service.

But it’s a category I could select when selecting my 3 categories? Why would they make misleading categories?

Categories are merely for internal categorizing, they are not an eligibility list.

That’s a little misleading though, because I, a new wayfarer, assumed that that’s what they were for. I’m sure other new ones have as well.

You are definitely not alone on that. But if you scroll through the categories, you will see things like “elementary school” which are strictly not eligible. I have been complaining about the categories since they added them. It is just data, and I wonder if there is still any value in this kind of data since the Niantic Spatial split from Scopely.
