I’d like to propose a new feature that would allow users to submit a new Wayspot nomination directly into a “Hold” (Quarantine) status, rather than having it automatically move into voting after 24 hours.
In my experience - especially while traveling - I often find interesting POIs and submit nominations quickly, knowing I’ll need to return later to add complete details on Wayfarer page (usually when I come back home from trip or when I have some free time). While the 24-hour quarantine period is helpful, I’ve occasionally missed the window to place the nomination on hold, causing it to move into voting prematurely with incomplete information.
To prevent this, it would be very useful to have an option during the nomination process to immediately place the nomination into Hold status. This way, the submission would remain paused in the user’s nomination queue until they manually select “Release Hold” once all details (title, description, supporting information, etc.) are finalized.
This small change could significantly reduce the number of low-quality or incomplete nominations that enter voting - I often see nominations where the description or supporting info is simply “TBD”, which I believe results from the same issue affecting other Wayfarers.
