From what I can determine, this is part of the NCN, but as it doesn’t show a specific numbered route, I don’t know if ithis is suitable or not… Any opinions welcomed.

Without the red square and route number I would reject, as it is now a directional sign.

Is it on the map of the route?
Has the route been changed and therefore the numbers covered over?

It’s something I can’t answer with honesty. Google Streetview shows the same sign without any numbers. I don’t know if the below map would cover this route or not… And I don’t where to check to see if it is an official route or not.

OpenStreetmaps shows this as a cycle route as well via the Cycle Map overlay.

I couldn’t see this on the NCN map, but may not be searching properly.

OpenStreetMap specifically shows NCN routes. If this is not tagged there as an NCN, it is unlikely to be one.

I didn’t find the Sustrans (I know!) map very helpful for here, as there is basically nothing in London. I’m fairly sure that London has a few named/numbered cycling routes.

This however looks like a generic cycling route with no name or number.
