You need to link an email to nominate a pokestop

Hey guys, apologies if this has already been posted but i couldn’t see it. I have uploaded a few pokestops recently, all accepted and have had no issues. I have tried today but it says i need a linked email. I already have a google, facebook and niantic id linked and it says so in the app

Any ideas on hoe to resolve?

Are you sure you are trying to log in with the same email you used previously?

Yes nothing has changed since i last logged on, nothing on facebook or google either

Make sure your logged into the game with the google account and not Facebook.

Do you know how i do that? When i try to unlink the facebook account it says its linked to the active session so im unable to

Log out of the game and log back in using the google method

Hey,

It looks like you might have created your Facebook account with a mobile number, or you might have declined to share your Facebook email address with Pokémon GO. As a result, your Pokémon GO account did not have an email address associated with it using Facebook Log in method.

I see that you have removed Facebook Log in method. Please log in using any of the existing log in providers connected to your account and you should be able to nominate Wayspots.

Let us know if the issue persists.

Thanks,

Exactly this, now that facebook is removed and it defaults to google, i have no issue. Still find it strange how this just happened after months of it being fine but glad its now resolved, cheers for all the input!

You might not have used Facebook method to log in while nominating Wayspots.

When I connected Facebook to my Niantic account (on desktop), I was asked whether I wanted to allow access to my data. So far, so good. But I wasn’t asked for my email address, so it couldn’t be sent from Facebook to Niantic. Not a problem for me, as I log in with Google and only have Facebook as a backup.
But maybe there’s a general problem with Facebook, so that no one’s email address is connected?

No, it’s not.
