Hello everyone,
Now being a regular member that is active on the forums and today being my 1 year anniversary I wanted to share my thoughts and my history of wayfarer, how did I start.
My History of Wayfarer
I started like everyone else wanting to submit and contribute to my local area. It looked like a great plan until I saw that most of the things were already requested so I started a little bit further from my local area.
My First accepted submission was a picknicktable by the water and is still in-game to this day. After joining the forums in April I moved back to my local area where there were actually still lots of submissions I didn’t even consider at that time. Mostly hiking trails, community shared spaces, picnic table, little libraries.
I started to feel more confident with my submissions and I was starting to see how wayfarer got involved in my life. I started submitting more, my appeals were more succesfull and I started to get involved in the forums more.
Fastforward to now where wayfarer is one of my favorite things to do in my free time, researching interesting local nominations or exploring brand new areas where lots of wayfinders did not submit anything or not much. Last week I traveled 10KM on the bicycle to explore some areas I did not visit yet. An awesome usage of free time IMO.
My thoughts about the forums
Now being my 1 year anniversary on the forums I like to look back what the positives are about here.
My favorite ones:

The people. I think the fellow wayfinders here are the best. Everyone, including myself these days, are eager to help with the questions being asked on the forums and you always get an appriopate response back which sometimes might not help, but does lead you in a better direction.

Staff involvement. I think staff monotoring is a good thing. There are lots of times where confusions can be taken away by staff here. They are professional, but still human like us that I don’t see them as rulers, but as fellow persons which can guide us in the good direction if needed. I personally want to thank them here for all their help.

Clarifications. The clarifications that are here on the forums are one of the best things here IMO. These are so helpfull and has allowed me to submit so many more things in my area.

The possibility to appeal removals in-game or requests of removal. Amazing feature that we can have staff take one more look before the decision is final. Makes reporting a lot better since you have another chance.

Helping people. Helping sometimes feels like such a good thing to me that I enjoy being active here almost every day.

Community ambassadors. The ambassadors here are always so friendly and welcoming. Giving us advice on more general road. Being understandable and enjoyable to speal to. A big thank you to the ambassadors here making my time more enjoyable

Feedback is allowed. The chance of giving open feedback here on the forums and getting a chance to influence is always good IMO.
If you have read all of this I am impressed and I thank you all for being a great member on the forums which makes my time here more enjoyable.
