For those that received a 24 hour cooldown, the message from the Wayfarer Team is that you will just have to sit out the cooldown. It has started so it needs to finish.
The team has however arranged a change to this 24 hour cooldown, that whilst this challenge is in progress the cooldown time should be reduced to 2 hours.
At the end of the challenge the cooldown periods will return to normal.
So going forward, during the challenge we should not be seeing any new 24 hour cooldowns being initiated.
Thatās all very well, but it still doesnāt fix the fact that the cooldown shouldnāt be happening in the first place. One or two reviews in a session should be nowhere enough to trigger them. No one can infer a pattern in review behaviour from such a small sample size, and yet the system is apparently doing exactly that according to the message weāre being shown with our cooldowns.
Iām very disheartened by this. I put aside time to review today. I donāt get a lot of spare time and I wanted to put it to good use. Thatās time I cannot get back, and I donāt know if I will get much more spare time before the end of the event.

Iām sorry that people are in this situation, I appreciate that for those caught up this is not a satisfactory situation. However during the next few days of the challenge this is the way forward.
Well this has put me off ever doing these in the future. Whilst cooldown reduction helps doesnāt resolve the issue & by the look of it thereās no intention of ever resolving it despite knowing thereās an issue. So I have no intention of contributing. Im not going to waste my time if Iām constantly in a loop of cooldowns because no one can be bothered fixing it. Best of luck.
@elijustrying I got a 24 hour cooldown around 7 hours ago after doing 9 total reviews, after the site kept failing to load any nominations. I came back just now (longer than the adjusted 2 hour cooldown as suggested Got 24 hours cooldown after first review - #81 by elijustrying ) and Iām still on the 24 hour cooldown. Very annoying, whatās the point of a challenge if I canāt get anywhere close to any of the goals?
Same, I was like what now. Now getting annoyed cus seem like once I get a cool down my pokemon player completely stops moving and not one digimon/pokemon in sight.
A cooldown on the wayfarer website should not caius issues the game.
I would recommend contact in game support for issues that are affecting Pokemon Go
This happens after clicking the submit reviews button i pressed this once and got locked out for 24 hours seems a bit odd as its a technical issue it kept failing and erroring but i ended up in cool down?
No, and I think that itās the main reason. My roommate after I get the 24h suspension, changed both locations and heās now reviewing from other countries avoiding the same suspension. When mine is over I will do the same, I hope that this will be enough.
