So my two Poké Stop submissions got accepted two weeks ago, but they didn’t appear in the game as pokestops (white circles near my location). After the annoying process of comparing back and forth using the IITC app and Wayfarer map, which doesn’t even show the existing pokestops near my location, I can see they are in the existing S17 cells.
Now I want to know what will happen, will they become a power spot or eventually they will turn into a pokestop, or are they now a lost cause?
Also, is there any way to see the S17 cells in the Wayfarer map for convenience? It will be a great help.

IITC will not show anything added to Wayfarer since May 2025, as that is when Ingress and Pokemon Go separated.
The wayfarer map at Niantic Wayfarer will show all wayspots except sponsored ones. There are tools for showing the S17 cells, but you have to search for wayfarer tools to find them, as they cannot be linked to from this forum.

Shiva Mandir Temple, Shivpuri (25.617936,85.108878) looks like it will used as a powerspot on rotation.
The Radiant Library (25.617350,85.109160) looks like it won’t get used as a pokestop or powerspot.
The L14 S2 cell containing these locations has 43 out of 64 cells populated with pokestops/gyms.

Please be aware that the cells should only be used to identify submissions, in order to focus your effort, but should not be used to mislocate things as that is abuse and can lead to sanctions.

Also my final goal is to create a gym at my location, so can you suggest me which S17 cells should I focus on for more nominations?
If the cell already has 43 level 17 boxes used then it should have the maximum amount of gyms in that level 14. So you can add places but they won’t create a gym.
Then what’s the point of nominating more if I can’t trigger a gym?
That’s the whole point of nominating to create a gym in my area.
Is there any other way?
Getting a gym closer to those coordinates than you already have is not possible with the current distribution of gyms as determined by Pokémon Go developers.
A lot of the pokestops and gyms in your area are derived from imported data. And this is the reason that the area has quite a lot already.
This is a screenshot of the area around the pin. You have got 3 gyms in close proximity and another not far away. So it is already quite a good spread.
That is not possible on this forum. Only Ambassadors and Niantic can start DMs.
I was hoping for a home gym, guess that’s not possible now.
But I have seen many gyms in a closed vicinity, especially the sponsored ones. How do they do it?
The point of Wayfarer is to add wayspots to the map. How each game chooses to use them is their business.
The ethos of Pokémon Go is that you leave your home. The game decided on spacing rules to encourage that.
The most heavily sponsored locations tend to be in inner city shopping locations as the businesses there pay for a stop/ gym to in effect advertise.
Those concentrated areas can be good to visit for events.
If you find things that are interesting you can submit and if they meet the inclusion rules you may get more pokestops.
