A quick Google Lens search tells me you have used a third party photo. This is not allowed.

You also used game references in the description. That is not allowed either.

I am very confused by this

Was there a gym there previously that was removed?

I do see an imported power spot here, so that explains the Dynamax battles.

Hmm.. usually the best course of action if there used to be a game location is to ask in Wayspot Appeals for reinstatement. If it used to exist, it will have been removed for reasons. Staff will have to tell you if an owner asked for it to be removed. If they don’t accept the appeal, then you can try a new submission.

It is hard to parse where the description stops and the supporting information begins in this email, but in addition to the third party photo problem, 1. if the Pokémon GO gym/Dynamax related text is in the description, this is not allowed. 2. it doesn’t matter what is near to the nomination or the game status of those objects, they are not part of your nomination.

At the risk of sounding like an AI, you’re not talking to Niantic to ask for a gym - you’re trying to convey to reviewers like yourself what is interesting about this place.

I would correct the photo and the description and rewrite the supporting info in your own words sharing only the essential information here - what you want to say there is that it’s a good place to socialize and bring proof why. Here I would recommend including evidence of why this pizza place is more interesting to go to than the next one over. AI tools have no idea what makes good nomination text, and they already made your nomination an outright reject because of the game terms in the description. I suggest being respectful of the reviewers’ time instead of flooding them with irrelevant text.

What about the fact that the OP said there used to be a gym here? I thought they should appeal that before resubmitting. Would you just resubmit?

Oh totally, I’m discussing how to improve this specific nomination in a vacuum. It was unclear to me if this specific pizzeria was a gym or something else in the area. If the wayspot for this particular business was incorrectly removed, then it should be appealable.
