Appeal Against 30-Day Suspension – Wayfarer / Pokémon GO

Dear Wayfarer Support Team,

I am writing to formally appeal the 30-day suspension of my Pokémon GO and Wayfarer account.
The stated reason was that I allegedly submitted a PokéStop that does not exist or was intentionally placed in a misleading location.

I strongly disagree with this claim.

The PokéStop in question exists in real life and is not fake. I have been an active Wayfarer contributor since 2019 and have submitted many PokéStops and Gyms in my local area that are still live and used daily by the community. In the in-game view, it is visible that a large number of the PokéStops nearby were created through my contributions.

I fully understand that accurate placement is important. However, if a location is off by a few meters (e.g. 10–20 m), this can happen unintentionally due to GPS inaccuracy or unclear reference points on site. At no point have I ever attempted to submit a false or non-existent location.

For this reason, I believe the suspension is disproportionate and kindly ask you to review my case again.
I am happy to provide additional evidence if needed (photos, coordinates, screenshots, or further explanation).

Please be aware that a few meters can be caused by GPS inaccuracy, but it is still the responsibility of the submitter for getting the location correct. Niantic are not responsible for your phone’s GPS.

10-20 is a little bit more than a few meters.

Also if the correct location wouldn’t appear in Pokemon Go as a new pokestop, but the submitted location would appear in Pokemon Go as a new pokestop, this may be an extra factor that counts against you, because the location error is an attempt to gain something that is invalid.

Evidence that would help you is the submission location (from the initial receipt email) and the actual location, along with photos (or streetview links if available) that confirm the location.
